#Churpremiere – The Second Coming

   Category: Churpremiere |

“A secret no one knows.”

When you have a past that haunts you, wouldn’t you like to just go back to the past and undo your wrong doings? Unfortunately, life is always moving forward and sometimes, we just have to live with the consequences even if they are unpleasant.

Find out what consequences this family in the #Churpremiere of #TheSecondComing has to live with for their lives!

Sypnosis: Ming (Kenny Wong) and his wife Jen (Maggie Shiu) lead quiet ordinary lives with their 13-year-old daughter Lucy (Joey Leong), while their 20 year-old son Sunny (Don Li) is at medical school overseas. Things seem perfect until Ming accidentally knocks Lucy down with his car on the cusp of her 14th birthday.

From then onwards, Lucy’s behaviour turns bizarre. Sunny returns from school to find Ming more and more distant towards his sister. As Jen and Sunny struggle to decipher the cause of it all, Lucy’s increasingly disturbing behavior escalates into violence.

When Lucy’s dog gets killed and Ming comes to harm, dark and hidden secrets are unveiled one by one and the family is forced to confront their past, that deep down, they have never truly been able to forget or forgive themselves for. Truth, as they say, is stranger than fiction.

No one in the family could have fathomed just how searing this confrontation will become as it culminates in twist after twist of shocking terror, unearthing a truth they could never have imagined.

#Churpremiere – Need For Speed

   Category: Churpremiere |

A cross-country journey with fast cars that begins as a mission for revenge—sounds like quite the adventure doesn’t it?

Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, DreamWorks Pictures brings us the one and only #Churpremiere of Need For Speed.

Sypnosis: The film centers around Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), a blue-collar mechanic who races muscle cars on the side in an unsanctioned street-racing circuit. Struggling to keep his family-owned garage afloat, he reluctantly partners with the wealthy and arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper).

But just as a major sale to car broker Julia Maddon (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save Tobey’s shop, a disastrous race allows Dino to frame Tobey for a crime he didn’t commit, and sending Tobey to prison while Dino expands his business out West.

Two years later, Tobey is released and set on revenge but he knows his only chance to take down his rival Dino is to defeat him in the high-stakes race known as De Leon — the Super Bowl of underground racing.

However to get there in time, Tobey will have to run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet that includes dodging pursuing cops coast-to-coast as well as contending with a dangerous bounty Dino has put out on his car. With the help of his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.

Glamorous night at the #CNYChurpOut with Tesco Online!

   Category: ChurpOut |

What a way to end our Chinese New Year with a BANG! Last Saturday was a real blast, thanks to all of you Churpers who joined us for our ‘Churp’ Goh Mei celebration at our #CNYChurpOut 2014 with #TescoOnline!

Here’s a recap on what happened that night:

This time around, #CNYChurpOut 2014 with #TescoOnline took place at the uber posh, uber classy Bankers Room @ Jalan Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur.

After registering themselves, Churpers had a chance to experience the magic of Tesco Online by signing up for their very own Tesco Online account. And that’s not all – everyone who signed up earned themselves a turn at a lucky angpau dip, where they could win cash and Tesco Online vouchers worth up to RM100!

Everyone also got to write their Instagram usernames on the mandarin oranges, and at the end of the event, each mandarin orange was picked up by another Churper, in hopes of kindling new friendships!

The event began with our absolute favorite tradition – Lou sang! Bet you’ve never seen a yee sang spread as epic as ours, huh?

After a fun lou sang session, it’s finally tummy-feeding time!

Next, Churpers got to work off their dinner with a round of games. First up was ‘Guess The Word’, where teams had to work together to guess words as fast as they could. With all the awesome prizes waiting to be grabbed, Churpers were absolutely in it to win it!

The ‘Walk Walk Fashion Baby’ mini fashion show was next, where some feisty and fashionable Churpers rocked the stage with a Tesco trolley in hopes of scoring some cool prizes too!

Prizes were also given away to a few lucky Churpers who posed the most creatively with a Tesco trolley stationed at the entrance earlier as well! Congratulations to all the winners!

The night ended with everyone’s best smiles!

For more photos, check out the photo album on our Facebook Page. We hope everyone had a lot of fun that night because we surely did!

Last but not least, the Churpies wish to give thanks to all Churpers for your endless support! This event would not have been possible, let alone successful, without you awesome bunch!

Meanwhile, be sure to check out Tesco Online as well for easy grocery shopping. Buying groceries is now just a click away, much thanks to Tesco Online!

We promise to bring you more awesome events in this coming year, so do stay tuned for more fun events you can be a part of. See you Churpers again next time, HUAT AHH!
