Synopsis

“Into the Woods” is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.

INTO THE WOODS

This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

INTO THE WOODS

Rob Marshall, the talented filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical “Chicago” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” helms the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine, who also penned the screenplay, and legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, who provides the music and lyrics.

  • Gan Ming Sian says:

My favourite Disney character would be Snow White because I want to own a fair skin as white as snow and red lips as red as cherry! That would be like most girl’s dream to have that perfect, flawless, and fair skin!

  • Gan Ming Sian says:

I also like Cinderella, not because I like to do house chores *pun intended* but, because I totally adores her glass shoes!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA Can I have a size 7, please? Those pair of shiny glass shoes is a drop dead gorgeous shoes for every ladies out there! Who wouldn’t want those shoes? You tell me, unless you are a guy XD

  • Chen Winnie says:

Super in love with the wolf not only because of the charming appearance, but also his charming personality and most importanyly how well he brings out his character in the movie ! Yay to Johnny Depp

  • Carrie Yap says:

That would be red riding hood. No biggie, simply because I love red. Kthxbye. 😛

  • ken2004 says:

Elsa from Frozen, the modern day Cinderella, the fairy-tale for today, conquering fears, embracing who you are, and taking charge. We all grow up a little scared and unsure of our potential, but she eventually learns how to own what makes her special and literally builds an entire kingdom from these powers. A whole freaking kingdom. She doesn’t need a prince to save her — in fact, it’s her sister with whom she must team up to save Arendelle — and has an element of vulnerability to her that isn’t worn out as far as Disney’s heroines go. It’s honestly refreshing, and her power ballad is the kind you should keep in your arsenal for all the days when you’re most doubting yourself.

  • Wendy Ou says:

Maleficent as the Mistress of All Evil she may be, but Maleficent is the best thing about 1959’s Sleeping Beauty.Simply put, she was a badass evil fairy and the one you wanted to be – way more than Princess Aurora especially seeing Angelina Jolie plays her to perfection.

  • Ken2004 says:

    Geppetto, from Pinocchio

This man makes a list of top ten kindest souls in Disney. What a nice man. Geppetto is the kind of man who would live in a town and all the kids would run to his shop and he’d put on puppet shows and do voices and entertain them. You know, before it was creepy and everyone got distrustful of those people. He’s the kind old man who only wants to see children be happy. And all he wants is a boy of his own. And through his goodness, he gets it. Look at the scene when he discovers that Pinocchio has come to life. He’s so legitimately happy. You can’t help but feel good for him.

  • Wendy Ou says:

    Wendy Darling, from Peter Pan

I knew I liked her the moment her mother told her she had to grow up and she was like, “I don’t want to grow up.” That’s like, my life motto. Who says I need to grow up?

Plus I like how she’s very sensible throughout the whole story. She doesn’t want to grow up, yet is mature as a motherly figure to the boys.

  • Rebbeca says:

My favourite disney character in this movie would be little red riding hood cuz thats my favourite fairy tale told by my mom before i sleep everytime when i was young. The tale is simple yet it gives a great meaning. Never believe in whatever the stranger(big bad wolf) says to you and always be alert in your surroundings. Thats what protects us in this cruel realistic world aint?

  • Wu Si Jie says:

Hansel and gretel! I want to eat all the candy house by myself but this time I know the story so im not going to get caught like how the story goes! I will twist the story hehehe

  • Josh P.J says:

I always love to be Jack in the beanstalk. I was born to be fat and if I have a beanstalk in front of my house,I think if I climb it everyday, one day I might solve my fatness.

  • Vivian Fung says:

My favourite Disney character is definitely Prince Charming. This man is often portrayed as THE MAN. a royalty, rich and handsome heir to the throne, who has the determination to search across the land based on a shoe that could have fit any other girl, and got duplicated like pirated CDs when he’s busy searching for his princess.oh well. Besides, i need to learn if their lips possessed some magic that just by a kiss(seriously!)they could wake up their love ones, it wouldn’t be true because i can still sleep very deeply despite many kisses from my puppy. He loves me too 😛

My favorite Disney character will be Princess Aurora. I love her kind hearted and innocent personality. So touched for her to finally found her prince to give her a magical kiss to wake her up.

  • Yana Dyana says:

My favorite fairy tale Disney character is Cinderella because she is super duper adorable, cutie pie gorgeous and horrible awesome person that managed to attract the hearts of the princes charming. I wish to be like her!
